Signs that you might have - or might be heading for - diabetes. And what to do about it.

The symptoms can be quite mild for some people, and not everyone suffers with the same symptoms.  The following list includes some of the main symptoms, common to all types of diabetes:

  • feeling very thirsty
  • passing urine frequently, especially at night
  • feeling very tired
  • unexplained weight loss
  • blurred vision

Generally, for Type 1 diabetes, the symptoms may be more obvious and happen over a short period of time.  For Type 2 diabetes, the symptoms can be quite mild and appear gradually, sometimes over many years.
